Building owners of the EmpireStateBuilding recently announced that they are investing over $500 million dollars in renovations and upgrades, including $13 million toward an energy efficiency retrofit for the iconic building. The improvements will include replacing heating and A/C units, resealing and insulating the building’s 6,500 windows, and upgrading the building’s environmental control system.
